First Age
In the undocumented years of our realm, a lone warior wandered accross the
great fields and woods of the lands in search of a place to train and develop his skills. This man's name was Andin Greystorm
and for around two years he traveled as much as 150 miles to a well established realm known as Pentwyvern. Andin trained and
learned the arts of combat from a Kinsman named Oron the Wolf who taught him nearly everything he knew. After years of training
Andin grew weary from traveling the great distances between Pentwyvern and his home in the middle of his lands so he sought
to establish a kingdom of his own.
Andin looked for several months for suitable warriors to help construct the new
Kingdom. Months passed but finally warriors came. Fenwick and Bran Bresal were amongst the few and in the course of a couple
of weeks a kingdom was established in the central part of the land. Rivendell had been born. Instantly Rivendell began to
flourish. Warriors from all over came to the aid of fortifying and making Rivendell grow.
Originally, Rivendell began
as a city for Elves, for Andin was one himself, but as the city grew Elves began to become the minority as other races sought
Rivendell for protection from the fearsome Wherewolves. Two of the most oddly fighters that came to Rivendell were celstrial
arch angels who came down from the Heavens known as Alaex and Aidyn.
With so many new warriors coming into the city
Andin grew weary of seeing some of the lack of fighting finess the warriors put forth. Andin began to take matters into his
ownhands and begun to train the fighters who sought his training. Of those trained warriors were Fenwick, Alaex, Aidyn, and
Estevao who came once the news hit his farmlands to the West. Fighers came and went as Andin trained the fighters of Rivendell.
A warrior who departed was Bran Bresal who sought life elsewhere but a warrior gained was an odd figure. He was not human
nor elf or any other race but was a mystical creature known as Gothmog.
Gothmog was a very skilled warrior and knowlegeable
and helped aid Andin during the winter months of the first age. Soon though Gothmog's travels took him to a realm in the East
known as Angaron. As Gothmog departed two determined men walked through the gates of Rivendell. Two men departed from their
caravan and stained by orc blood came into the Elven Encampent seaking refuge. Days passed and they begun to grow in delight
in the sheer skill they could acquire if they stayed and thus they did. The two men was the ferocias Celt Razier Rhodes and
the dwarf of the mines Darklun Grimstone.
As Andin observed the forces of Rivendell growing stronger he felt it was
time to pay his friends in Pentwyvern a little visit. The strongest of the strong from Rivendell journeyed up to the northern
realm of Pentwyvern. Of those warriors was Fenwick, Alaex, Darklun Grimstone, Aidyn, Razier Rhodes, Striker, Jandor, and Andin.
The King Gunnar of Pentwyvern greeted Rivendell with grand welcomes and taught them many things. Through the visit new knowledge
of warfare was grasped such as weapon smithing, woods warfare, and bridge warfare. New allies were forged as well. From Pentwyvern
friendships were begotten with Dayen, Asura Kagemushya, Mungala, Sir Ticam, Sir Ricter, Dirk, and many others. Through the
trip Rivendell had grown stronger through allegiance with Pentwyvern.
Back in Rivendell after the allegiance with Pentwyvern
was forged, Rivendell's warriors aspired to become stronger. Andin recognized this and requested for an old friend to help.
Alone on horseback Oron the Wolf traveled the distance between Pentwyvern and Rivendell to train the warriors of Rivendell
the arts of war as he did with Andin. The timid Aidyn's furosity and instinct to kill was brought out by the teachings from
Oron along with Fenwick's skill with a shield. As Oron trained the fighters of Rivendell Andin looked for more possible allegiances
to be created.
Andin traveled by horseback to the west where he found through the misty woods a newly established realm
known as Mittelmarch. Mittelmarch was a strange realm, for it was between two strangely different lands, thus bringing forth
the nickname, the Land Between the Lands. Andin showed the leader Alric of Harland the art of forging more efficient weapons
and also taught them how to fight more effectively. Weeks passed after Andin arrived back in Rivendell, Alric and three of
his warriors from Mittelmarch thanked Rivendell in person. In return Rivendell taught them some more skills once more in payment
of Mittelmarch's thanks.
As Mittelmarch left Andin grew restless because he knew something baneful was aproaching.
He told the rest of the warriors that every year the realms get restless andhunger for power. He continued in saying that
all the realms meet in one location and fight for an entire week strait that causes the very earth to rumble. He called this
event the XVIII Ragnarok.
After the news was learned the fighters of Rivendell quickly grabbed their arms and trained
to improve their combat skills before the tides of war approached the lands bordering their own. The eve of battle finally
came in the months before the sun reached its peak and Andin, Alaex, Fenwick, and Estevao sought forth to lead the attack
for rivendell on the first day of Ragnarok. Later in the week Aidyn, Darklun Grimstone, and Razier Rhodes where to accompany
the galliant warriors who led the first charge.
Ragnarok's war lasted long and the fighting was fierce for many warriors
made their untimely trim to Vahalla. Fortunately known none of the warriors from Rivendell made that trip. Once Ragnarok's
tides calmed the warriors that fought for Rivendell made their short journey back to their realm. Once Rivendell had all of
its members regrouped he felt it was time for someone to rule and establish customs within the realm. Gossip sprung up about
who was going to be the one to usurp the crown of Rivendell. The two fighters who stepped up to the challenge were Fenwick
and Darklun Grimstone.
Fenwick called forth an army of fellow warriors within the realm and some
warriors who had long left, such as Bran Bresal. Some of those warriors who fought alongside Fenwick were Alaex, Aidyn, Estevao,
and a few other less known warriors. Darklun, on the other hand, called forth warriors from other realms such as Oron the
Wolf from Pentwyvern and Gothmog from Angaron. The Warriors from Rivendell fighting with Darklun, were Stryker, Razier Rhodes,
and Kida. Andin chose to stay neatral in the bought and supervise the fight for power to ensure that none of the infrastructure
that he built would be razed. On the 264 day of the first age the crown of Rivendell was granted to Darklun Grimstone. Fenwick,
ashamed of his defeat, withrew into the monastery of the city and spawned a new order of dark clergy known as the Blood Clerics.
The Blood Clerics swore they would reap vengence onto Grimstone and gain custody of the crown and reign of Rivendell.
With the Kingdom of Rivendell officially beginning the Kingdom of Pentwyvern
invited the new King, Darklun Grimstone, to sit at the head table amongst the King of Pentwyvern, King Gunar. The two kings
signed a decree of alliance making the two kingdoms a unbreakable alliance. During the music and dancing someone stepped out
from the shadows having something dear to him to say. Razier Rhodes was not seen much during the festivities after the signing
but when he came out from the shadows he had a group behind him. The Knights of Pentwyvern ushered Razier into the center
of the hall and Razier spoke. "Lord Darklun, sire, we have seen much together over the years of our companionship and I feel
that there is no other form of duty than to be your sworn protector of you and the Kingdom of Rivendell." With that Razier
bowed and said, "Sir, I wish to be your seek knighthood and be a squire under the Knights of Pentwyvern so I shall better
serve you." Darklun smiled a warm smile at his friend and drew his sword and accepted Razier’s request with a tap upon
his forehead. Razier Rhodes rose as the first Squire of Rivendell.
Second Age
As the winter months dusted the ground of the Second Age of Rivendell the
King had been in power for a few months time and ordered his people to remain still to avoid the harsh winters. Once the last
flake melted and the trails of the north opened so did the gates of Rivendell. With this the forces of Rivendell grew even
more since the exploits of Rivendell’s opportunities have reached the greatest distances.
Among those fighters were Vodin, Lanicus Aakarth, and Azurick the Wise who
traveled briefly from the north to stay within Rivendell’s great walls. These three fighters learned quickly especially
Vodin who showed potential to be great. King Darklun was eyeing Vodin for some time, for he was seeking some more people to
be apart of his band of warriors known as The Valiant Clash. Amongst the clan was King Darklun Grimstone, Squire Razier Rhodes,
and Kida. The trio then became four once Vodin accepted the offer.
As time went on another Ragnarok approached with the passing of the moons.
As the end of days approached, yet again, more warriors approached. Some of those warriors were known as Mauruk, Lance, Naruto,
and Strife of Arkay. Also Aldur the Ram and Uthwe came from the West. Aldur and Uthwe faced many perils in their past companionship
and their chance of walking amongst Rivendell was a blessing.
Patriarch Fenwick of the Blood Clerics was watching closely of the happenings
in Rivendell. One evening Fenwick kidnapped King Darklun and cast a spell upon him that made King Darklun his own evil minion.
With Andin Greystorm’s keen ears he and Squire Razier Rhodes went off in the morning to look for their missing ruler.
Once the sun peaked over the distant hills the rest of the town woke up with a start upon learning of their missing King.
Vodin Heavy Hammer rallied up warriors and led them against the hordes of goblin’s Fenwick corrupted under his control.
Soon after Fenwick’s attack on the crown a more pressing matter hit
Rivendell. There was talk of werewolves lurking in the woods on the outskirts of the land. Many farmers complained to the
stressed Lord and he decided that the werewolves must be met head on. King Darklun sent some of the lesser fighters to scout
the vicinity where the werewolves dwelled but many moons passed and none returned. Hearing of a rumor that only silver weapons
could harm the fierce creatures Darklun gathered his warriors and set them on a quest to find the Silver Sword, The Silver
Cloak, and the Silver armor and with these items any warrior wielding one could control it’s power. The warriors that
set off on this quest was Aidyn, Fenwick, Squire Razier, Vodin, Lanicus, Strife of Arkay and many more. Once the items were
gathered the horn of war blared. More pressing matters were at hand than the attacking werewolves.
The end of days, Ragnarok, had once again beset upon the earth for the XIX
time. King Darklun Grimstone was very weary due to the many problems that had fallen on Rivendell before the Day of Reckoning.
Before the warriors set out to represent Rivendell at Ragnarok, Darklun put some lesser warriors to guard the gates of Rivendell
while the stronger warriors represented Rivendell at the Gates of Ragnarok. Among the warriors that represented Rivendell
were Aidyn, Alaex Kaen, Andin Greystorm, Fenwick, Strife of Arkay, King Darklun Grimstone, Squire Razier Rhodes, Kida, Lanicus
Aakarth, Mauruk, and Vodin Heavy Hammer. These warriors fought hard and long beside strange Realms from Distant Lands. Everyone
fought to quall the greater evil for the world could live on for yet another year.
When the Rivendell warriors arrived back home after another victorious prevention
of Ragnarok the werewolves struck once more. Without hesitation the warriors who helped in the prevention of Destruction gathered
the Silver weapons and armor and sought the werewolves. Without much time the werewolves were dismayed and sent into retreat.
Rivendell had many events happen within and near its walls during the summer
months of the second age and King Darklun Grimstone was feeling the wear and tear on himself. He knew that another War was
ahead and that he would have to gather a force strong enough to halt the forces of Fenwick’s massing arming seeking
power. King Darklun Grimstone only sought rest and did not have the will to serve his people another year, though he loved
them dearly. So King Darklun Grimstone yielded his power to Fenwick and became Darklun Grimstone and Fenwick became King Fenwick.
King Fenwick promised to lead his people into the third age with hope and little troubles ahead.
Third Age
Once again the snows began to blow as fruit bearing tree turned to naked
twig. The people of Rivendell began into there third winter together, more and more fighters began to flock to the ivory gates
of the city and then once more the seasons turned and new tidings were upon this land.
Many a time were the people in need during this harsh winter and King Fenwick,
now blinded by his power chose to neglect them. Instead he and his clerics left the ruling to a newly formed council of the
people in Rivendell, amongst these were Andin, Squire Razier, Kida, and Aidyn. It was they we tended to the commoners and
wariors alike, and more and more were these people in need. For they did not expect what was to come. The Blood clerics in
there evil magic opened a portal in a experiment to our world, and forth came warriors from the British Isles Maeve and Don
Clan Ross, and the land of Sparta, Arailius of Draconis Centurian to Laecomidus , King of Sparta. They were taken in by the
people of Rivendell and were regarded as skilled warriors, and they would help in what was to come.
The people, discusted with Fenwick's neglect rose up under the banner of
Vodin Heavyhammer and staged a coup against the king, those who went with him were Darklun Grimstone, Squire Razier Rhodes,
Strife of Arkay, Arailius Draconis Aidyn and many others . For many days Rivendell's once proud steets were stained with blood,
as Fenwick and his clerics were droven to the hills and exiled from the city. From then forth Vodin was crowned King of Rivendell
and the people lived with happyness for the fist time in an entire age. The King himself was truly a warrior at heart, as
he lead his forces to fend off some of the most imaginable creatures, from orcs and kobalts, to werewolves, the undead, a
Ice dragon. The king though could not be preasent at all times do to his duties and Squire Razier Rhodes lead rivendell when
the threat of Pirates came forth, and the pirates defeat leads us upon this day, where we are moments away from our anual
contest for Rivendells crown.
When the dust settled it was still Vodin who held the crown, but this
time with his new knight Sir Razier Rhodes, who passed through death and despair to gain the title of Knight of Rivendell.
As for Fenwick 's remains, we find him still mumbling like a madman in the nice padded cells of the deep. Two new warriors,
archers of exquisite skill, Afrit and Wendigo in there searches for alchemic power, stumble upon the hidden city of rivendell
where they were welcomed with open arms.
About that same time, Arailius is sent on a mission by the king to the close realm
of Gondor to discuss the threat of the pirates that have been stalking the coasts. About the third day of these talks
a portal opens up and a contengent of dalk elves seep about from it on there jagged vessals onto the banks of Minas
Tirth. Misunderstanding the event the Gondorians send a defense force and Arailius was sent to lead. In the fray
the noble Spartan was cut down by the leader of the drow, Indoril Nerevar. When battle was
comming to a close Nerevar and the unit from his house were cut off from the main force and sent to flee
across the river Anduin north where once more they found themselves in the lands of Rivendell.
